psoinos photoDr Maria Psoinos holds a BSc in Psychology, from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and an MPhil, and a PhD in Social Psycholo gy, both from the University of Cambridge, UK. She holds a BSc in Psychology, from Aristotle University of Thessa loniki and an MPhil, and a PhD in Social Psychology, both from the University of Cambridge, UK.

She has expertise on the well-being of minority groups such as refugees, ethnic minority members and immigrant professionals, and equitable health and social care services. She approaches minorities’ well-being through a psychosocial approach and studies it by adopting primarily qualitative research tools, with an emphasis on narrative methodology.

Dr Maria Psoinos works with universities, colleges and research institutes to help advance knowledge and practice in the above areas. She publishes widely on skilled migrants’ and refugees’ professional experiences and well-being, forced migration and psychosocial health, health and social care for minority populations and qualitative research principles in health and social care. She teaches courses on psychology, social psychology, research methodology and the psychology of migration.
